I’ve been thinking

I know I know, be careful! Thinking is dangerous!

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about my life and how im going to spend it long term. I’ve told myself a little white lie about being with someone etc. I basically told myself that im going to be single until I finish uni now.

But who can promise themselves that? I mean my soul mate might come along and I’ll know right away that I’m meant to be with her. I might even know this person already, I just haven’t realised it yet.

The past relationship has taught me that I need to look long and hard before making a decision. No need to wallow in the past at what could have been with different people, that’s over, that’s gone. I’m looking to now, I’m looking to the future and to the people who mean the most to me.

This all probably seems like crap but I’m just spilling my thoughts out on to page….. You don’t have to understand I, I do.

Lately

So…. A quick catch up? Or some long arse article about my life? We’ll see how it goes.

I’ve been very very busy lately, what with work and that. I started at 9ine Consulting on the 11th June and have been working full time since! Two pay days later and I’ve let myself get into a routine of waking up early and going to bed late, meaning I’m tired almost everyday. 

My uni results came through for my second year. In all of the 9 units I studied, I passed 4 of them with a 2:2 and 5 of them with a 1st. Overall, pretty happy with that! It averages out at a high 2:1 so I’ll have to push myself in the 3rd year to get that all important 1st overall!

I’ve been seeing a lot of friends lately. Most notably I’ve got back in touch with Kirsty. She’s a total ledge and we’ve been having a good ol’ chinwag and it feels like old times again :) Excellenté. 

I’ve also been exercising a lot more. Every Friday night I play 5-a-side with my dad and his mates. Trying to get more active and to tone up to old body. Get rid of the fat that I accumulated over the course of the last two years at university

Past few weeks

…….. Have been very stressful!

2nd year at uni is a lot tougher than 1st year. My first 2 exams were a piece of piss. The first one I did, I already have the results back for….. 74% get in! Also got 81% in the coursework for that unit woop!

Anyway, the last two exams were quite tough, the last one being the hardest. I had to revise really hard for these and now it’s just a waiting game to see how I actually did. I’ll soon find out.

So my last exam was Tuesday. It’s now Wednesday and all I’m doing is waiting to go home. My mum is coming to get me tomorrow but it won’t be until late in the evening. Not a lot to do until she gets here really, I’ve packed most of my stuff away, just try clothes and the stuff I’m using that I haven’t packed yet. I’m excited for going home, can’t wait. I have about 10 days to myself before I start work so I’m going to be seeing friends and stuff before that.

Then I start work for 9ine consulting ( www.9ine.uk.com ) on the 11th June. Exciting stuff! Going to be there for a whole year full time! Get my first real experience of what the stop my life working is going to be like. The money is going to be nice having as well.

So that’s my life recently. Been nice catching up ;)

Marcus Failed Palmspin

There was me, Lewis and Harry and we were all training in Dartford. We decided to go to fairfield leisure centre to carry on training. There was a medium height wall and I tried to palmspin it. But I didn’t get all the way round, I ended up catching my foot on the top of the wall and basically, face planted the floor. Luckily it was only grass so I didn’t hurt myself that bad. The other two got a laugh out of it though.

Here goes number 3! I spoke to Harry and he dictated to me what happened so here is what he said.

Lewis, Kiki and Spack went knocking on Harry’s door. Harry answered and Lewis decided to be all cocky, tapped Harry on the shoulder and went “watch this!”. He ran to the wall opposite Harry’s house and cat leaped onto a wall with a railing. Subsequently, when he grabbed the rail, the whole entire wall that was connected to the rail fell on top of him! What a donut. The green Hyundai behind him got caught by part of the wall. Call it collateral damage. Harry, Lewis, Kiki and Spack all legged it to Next Generation (now David Lloyd gym) which was about 400m down the road.

And that was all he said! I remember them telling me about it when it happened. Couldn’t stop laughing and I wasn’t even there!
